Available module
yourpace Music
Practise music theory at exactly the level you are at.
Note reading, intervals, key signatures, the circle of fifths and rhythm — and piano too, if you connect a MIDI keyboard. For each of them yourpace works out where you are and picks your next question from there.
What you practise
- Note reading
- Naming notes on the staff, from the middle of the staff out to the ledger lines.
- Intervals
- Hearing and seeing the distance between two notes, starting with seconds.
- Key signatures
- Reading the sharps and flats at the start of the staff; major first, then minor.
- Circle of fifths
- Putting every key in its place on the circle until it comes without thinking.
- Rhythm
- Tapping along with a continuous stream of notation and a metronome — even at first, trickier later.
- Piano
- Scales, arpeggios, sight-reading and repertoire. This one needs a MIDI piano or keyboard connected to your device.
- Workout
- Rotates through the exercises and seeks out your weakest areas by itself.

Music is one module of yourpace
yourpace is the platform and the method: measure what you have already mastered and put the next question just beyond it. Music is the first subject running on it. French and mathematics are in development.
